Welcome to the Systems and Informatics Research Laboratory (SIRL) at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal. We work on applied societal research problems where sensing and analytics can be leveraged to design and build tangible solutions. At large, our lab collects data in real-world settings with sensors, uses data to understand the problem dynamics, and builds data-driven scalable solutions in the form of robust and affordable systems. Currently, we focus on healthcare, transportation, and buildings.
I am looking for prospective Ph.D. students interested in working at the intersection of sensing and data analytics. Interested students must have solid programming fundamentals. We have a fully furnished lab equipped with decent computing power. Furthermore, the lab encourages foreign visits for presenting research work or internships. (Haroon Lone)
Note: I do not offer short-term (i.e., less than a year) internships. Please don't write to me for short-term internships. I won't be responding to such requests.
